Keon Lawrence is coming home.
After announcing his transfer from Missouri, the 6-foot-2, 175-pound former All-State combo guard out of Newark (N.J.) Weequahic committed on Monday to Seton Hall head coach Bobby Gonzalez. He will sit out the upcoming season before having two years of eligibility beginning in 2009-10.
“I felt it was the better fit for me,” Lawrence, nicknamed “The Human Pogo Stick” during his time at Weequahic, said Monday by phone. “It’s closer to home. My family and friends are more involved. I just felt it was better.”
